Carlos Vela had a light training session that consisted physical work to warm the muscle and then practiced shooting against Almunia.

After that they made an intrasquad in confined spaces, looking to have more contact with the ball, allowing them to also be more mobile within a few meters from the pitch.

Although it was announced that Vela use the back 11 from the next season, he still appreciated the number 12, which last season ranked in the red coat he used to train.

Vela Set To Get Opportunity

With the news that Eduardo has left Arsenal, Carlos Vela will be looking to make the starting line-up more regularly now.

Carlos has been rumoured to be leaving Arsenal on a loan deal, with interest from Cologne, Borussia Monchengladbach, Roma and Napoli.

Carlos Vela Handed Number 11 Shirt

Carlos Vela has been handed the Arsenal number 11 shirt after teammate Robin van Persie opted to take over the number 10 shirt left absent by outgoing defender William Gallas.

Vela has joined 26 other teammates on Arsenal’s training camp in Switzerland although van Persie has been afforded extended leave following his exploits in South Africa with Holland.

More Transfer News

Still considering his future, Carlos Vela has many options including Germany or Italy.

Arsenal spoke out to the media by saying:

“We do not respond to speculation. All our players are high profile and it is normal that relate to other clubs. (Carlos) Vela is a player with existing contract and as such enters the club’s plans. The team manager (Arsene Wenger) is the only one who can say how much goes into their plans, “said the press officer of the club’s fans.

Whilst Markus Aretz of Borussia Mönchengladbach, told the crowd that it is just “a rumor and I can not comment about it, that’s the answer official. ”

Asked about whether the team knew Vela Garrido, German ignored it, but said he knew who he was talking: “I did, I saw him in the World.”

Germany Calling For Vela

With reports yesterday of Arsenal looking at other strike options, rumours mounted further today with Cologne and Borussia Mönchengladbach are interested in signing Carlos Vela, at least on loan for the season. Both teams feature in the German top division – Bundesliga.

Rumours also state that un-named Italian Seria A teams are after the Arsenal striker., who’s contract expires in 2015, will look at this season as gaining more experience on loan, after spells at Celtic, Osasuna and Salamanca

Arsenal want striker

Arsenal look set to sign Lukaku to solve there strike problems and provide cover for any injured striker.

But the main question has to be asked: Where will this leave Carlos Vela?

More than likely getting loaned out to another club or being sold. Carlos isn’t the only striker in a similair position, other players included in the mix are Eduardo and Nicklas Bendtner, who seem to have failed in proving there worth.
